FMT/KEY Remotes
Discontinued 27 MHz Series
The Elsema FMT/KEY remote series is one of the most iconic and long-running remote control ranges in Australian gate and garage automation history. Models such as the FMT301, FMT302DA, KEY301, and KEY302DA were widely installed and trusted for decades, becoming a staple across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Operating on the classic 27 MHz frequency, the FMT and KEY series earned their reputation through exceptional reliability, long service life, and simple operation. The larger FMT remotes were known for their robust handheld design, while the more compact KEY remotes offered the same dependable performance in a convenient keyring format. Available in 1, 2, and 4 channel variants, these remotes allowed users to control multiple devices from a single transmitter.
Important Discontinuation Notice
This entire FMT/KEY series has been discontinued for a long period of time.
All genuine replacement remotes and spare parts have been permanently removed from the market, and there are no reliable or safe compatible alternatives currently available for this platform.
If your system still relies on an FMT or KEY remote, it is strongly recommended that the system be upgraded. In most cases, this can be achieved by:
- Installing a stand-alone receiver that operates on a modern frequency and uses current remotes, or
- Upgrading to a new motor or control system with modern remote technology and improved security.
