Retro Remotes Shipping Policy
At Retro Remotes, we aim to make your online shopping experience seamless and transparent. These shipping terms and conditions (“Terms”) outline the procedures and policies governing the shipment and delivery of parcels by Walker Automation Pty Ltd (trading as Retro Remotes). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
Shipping Contracts
Retro Remotes maintains formal shipping agreements with multiple logistics partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery across Australia. Our contacted shipping carriers include:
- Australia Post – eParcel Business
- Sendle Business (CouriersPlease & Aramex/Fastway Couriers)
- Transdirect (Courier Aggregator)
We allocated shipments based on parcel weight, items purchased and the shipping method selected at checkout:
Standard Shipping:
Orders qualifying for free domestic shipping under 2kg will be sent via Australia Post eParcel or Sendle using either CouriersPlease or Aramex/Fastway.
Express Shipping (under 2kg):
Express orders under 2kg will be shipped via Australia Post Express or Sendle Global Express, depending on the delivery location and service availability.
Exclusions: Parcels longer than 1m and dangerous items such as batteries (see delivery limitations below).
Wholesale Trade Customers (under 2kg):
Orders placed by Wholesale Trade Customers under 2kg will be shipped via Australia Post Express by default to ensure prompt delivery.
Orders over 2kg or those requiring special handling (e.g long items, dangerous goods) may be shipped via other freight partners.
Exclusions: Parcels longer than 1m and dangerous items such as batteries (see delivery limitations below).
By placing an order with Retro Remotes, you acknowledge and accept that shipping will be fulfilled through one of these third-party partners under the terms of their respective delivery networks. Retro Remotes reserves the right to select the most appropriate carrier based on size, weight and destination.
Let us know if you would like to request a specific carrier at the time of checkout – we will do our best to accommodate your preference where possible.
Shipping Timeframes
We aim to dispatch all in-stock items within 24-72 business hours of cleared payment. However, dispatch delays may occur due to:
- Bulk orders
- Special orders
- Stock not held at our warehouse
Shipping timeframes vary depending on destination, courier, and service type selected. Please note that choosing Express Shipping does not speed up the dispatch process. Delivery estimated are from the date of dispatch, not the order date.

Please note that shipping times are estimates only and Retro Remotes accepts no responsibility if the delivery exceeds the estimated shipping time.
Delivery Address Accuracy
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery address entered at checkout is complete and accurate. Retro Remotes will not be liable for any delays, non-delivery, or mis-delivery arising from incorrect or incomplete address information. Once an order is placed, address changes cannot be guaranteed. Please contact our customer service team as soon as possible if an update is required prior to dispatch.
Delivery Attempts and Safe Place Policy
Our courier partners may attempt delivery once to the nominated address. If no one is present, the courier may leave the parcel in a safe place at their discretion.
Customers acknowledge and accept:
- Deliveries may be left unattended if deemed secure by the courier.
- A safe and lockable location should be made available to reduce the risk of theft, weather exposure, or loss.
- Retro Remotes is not responsible for parcels stolen, damaged, or lost after successful delivery to an unattended location.
- If you cannot provide a secure location, you may request delivery to a parcel locker or PO Box (exclusions apply)
Delivery Limitations (Large or High-Risk Parcels)
Some items cannot be delivered to PO Boxes or parcel lockers due to size, weight, or contents. These include:
- Motors and Automation Kits
- Solar Panels
- Rails and long antennas (over 1m)
- Batteries and Aerosol Cans
These items will be shipped via courier only. If a suitable courier can not be found to your location your order will be refunded.
Tracking Information
Tracking will be sent via email or SMS as soon as your order has been sent to warehouse for packing. There may be delays between the tracking number being created and despatch from store. The courier company will notify you once the parcel is on its way.
Lost or Damaged Parcels
Lost Parcels:
If your parcel is not received within the expected timeframe (once the parcel has been collected), please contact our customer service team. We will lodge an investigation with the carrier and work with them to provide a resolution.
Damaged Parcels:
Inspect your parcel upon delivery. If damage is visible, you may:
- Refuse delivery, or
- Accept the delivery but report the issue to us immediately.
Claims for damaged goods must be reported as soon as possible. In most cases, the parcel must be returned for assessment before a replacement or refund is processed.
International Shipping
Retro Remotes is not liable for any customs fees, import duties, or delivery issues once the parcel leaves Australia. We use Australia Post for ALL international shipping.
Amendments to Shipping Terms
Retro Remotes reserve the right to update or amend these terms at any time without prior notice. Any updates will be published on our website and take effect immediately.
