Elsema GLR43308RE – Enclosed 8-Channel Gigalink Relay Receiver
The Elsema GLR43308RE combines an eight-channel GLR43308R Gigalink receiver with a protective enclosure, providing a convenient enclosed solution for commercial, agricultural and industrial remote-control installations.
It features eight independent changeover relay outputs, allowing compatible Elsema Gigalink transmitters to control multiple gates, doors, access functions, lights, alarms or automation inputs from one receiver.
Each relay output is rated at up to 8A at 240VAC for a resistive load, and all eight outputs can operate simultaneously. The outputs can be configured for momentary, latching, mixed momentary/latching or security-latching operation.
With a compatible Elsema GLT433 transmitter and correctly installed antenna, an operating range of up to approximately 350 metres line of sight may be possible. Actual operating range will depend on the antenna, installation, surrounding structures and local interference.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the difference between the GLR43308R and GLR43308RE?
Both models use eight changeover relay outputs. The GLR43308R is supplied without an enclosure, while the GLR43308RE is supplied in a protective enclosure.
Is the GLR43308RE the relay-output model?
Yes. The “R” identifies the relay-output receiver, while the final “E” identifies the enclosed version.
Is this the same as the GLR43308?
No. The GLR43308 has open-collector outputs. The GLR43308RE contains the relay-output version, making it suitable for a different range of control connections.
| Model | Output type | Enclosure | Choose this model when |
|---|---|---|---|
| GLR43308 | Eight open-collector outputs | No | Connecting to compatible low-voltage electronic inputs |
| GLR43308R | Eight changeover relay outputs | No | Installing the receiver inside an existing cabinet |
| GLR43308RE | Eight changeover relay outputs | Yes | A complete enclosed relay receiver is required |
| GLR43308POS | Eight positive-switching outputs | No | The connected equipment requires positive-switched signals |
Does the enclosure make it suitable for outdoor installation?
The receiver is supplied in a protective enclosure, but the complete installation must maintain the required weather protection. Correct cable glands, sealing, mounting position and installation practices are particularly important.
