The Procon Electronics LD102 is a compact single channel inductive vehicle loop detector designed for reliable vehicle detection in gate automation, parking and access control applications.

Connected to an inductive loop installed in the driveway or road surface, the LD102 detects the presence of vehicles and provides relay outputs that can be used to control gates, barriers, access-control equipment and other automation systems.

The LD102 operates from 11–26V AC/DC, making it particularly suited to low-voltage gate and access-control installations. With adjustable sensitivity, selectable operating modes, automatic environmental compensation and built-in loop fault indication, it provides flexible and reliable vehicle detection for a wide range of installations.

What is the Procon LD102?

The Procon LD102 is a single-channel inductive vehicle loop detector used to detect vehicles positioned over an inductive sensing loop.

What does the Reset Switch do?

The Reset Switch allows the detector to be manually reset during commissioning and testing. When reset, the detector re-tunes the sensing loop and becomes ready for vehicle detection.

How many sensitivity settings does the LD102 have?

The LD102 has eight switch-selectable sensitivity settings, allowing the detection sensitivity to be adjusted to suit the installation.

What is Sensitivity Boost used for?

Sensitivity Boost sets the undetect level to maximum sensitivity and is intended to help prevent loss of detection of high-bed vehicles.

The Filter Option introduces a 2-second delay between detection of a vehicle and switching of the output relay. It can be used to help prevent false detection from small or fast-moving objects.

What does the Extend Option do?

When enabled, the Extend Option keeps the presence output relay active for 2 seconds after the vehicle has left the loop.

What is Permanent Presence?

Permanent Presence maintains detection when a vehicle remains parked over the inductive loop for an extended period.

Can the pulse relay operate when a vehicle leaves the loop?

Yes. The Pulse Relay Selection allows the pulse relay to be configured to energise either when a vehicle is detected or when the vehicle leaves the loop.

What pulse times are available?

The pulse relay can be configured for a pulse duration of 0.2 seconds or 1 second.

Does the LD102 include the inductive loop?

No. The sensing loop is installed separately in the driveway, roadway or vehicle access area and connected to the LD102 detector.
