The Merlin E970M was a genuine 4-button Premium+ keyring remote briefly supplied with a limited range of Merlin garage door motors between 2023 and 2025. Identical in function and compatibility to other Merlin Security+ and +2.0 remotes, the E970M operated on multi-frequency technology (433.30 / 433.92 / 434.54 MHz) with rolling code encryption for secure access control.
This model was discontinued by Merlin due to design revisions made to improve the battery cradle and internal support structure. To reduce confusion and support product identification, Merlin released a revised model under a new code: Merlin E975M. The E975M is now the official and recommended replacement for the E970M.
