Elsema G5000+ 4G GSM Advanced Input/Output Controller

The Elsema G5000+ is the advanced model in Elsema's 4G GSM Input/Output Controller range, designed for remote control, monitoring and automated operation of electrical equipment across industrial, commercial and agricultural applications.

Building on the standard G5000, the G5000+ combines 4 relay outputs, 2 digital inputs and 2 analogue 4–20mA inputs with advanced automation functions, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication and capacity for up to 2,000 authorised users.

Control equipment remotely by SMS or phone call, monitor connected sensors and create automated actions based on digital inputs or analogue setpoints. The G5000+ can also communicate with another G5000+ controller, allowing an event detected at one location to trigger equipment at another.

This makes the G5000+ ideal for more complex applications including remote pump and irrigation control, tank level monitoring, industrial equipment, alarms, building services and automation across geographically separated sites.

For applications requiring remote control and monitoring without advanced automation or M2M communication, consider the Elsema G5000.

What’s Included:

  • 1 x Genuine Elsema G5000+
  • Antenna
  • 12V DC Power Pack
  • Installation Instructions

Key Features:

  • Advanced 4G Remote Control & Automation:  Control, monitor and automate equipment from virtually anywhere suitable Australian 4G coverage is available.
  • 4 Independent Relay Outputs: Four voltage-free relay outputs rated up to 10A at 240VAC provide independent control of multiple devices or functions. Your technical-spec table already gives this rating.
  • 2 Digital Inputs: Connect compatible voltage-free sensors, switches, alarms and equipment for remote monitoring and automated control.
  • 2 Analogue 4–20mA Inputs: Monitor compatible analogue sensors such as tank-level, pressure or other 4–20mA instrumentation.
  • Analogue Setpoint Automation: Unlike the standard G5000, the G5000+ can use ON/OFF setpoints for its analogue inputs and send an SMS when a setpoint is reached.
  • Input-to-Relay Automation: Configure a digital input to automatically switch a relay ON or OFF when triggered — another function Elsema reserves for the G5000+.
  • Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Communication: One G5000+ can control another G5000+ when a digital input is triggered or an analogue setpoint is reached, enabling automation between geographically separated locations.
  • Up to 2,000 Authorised Users: The G5000+ increases user capacity from the standard G5000's 250 users to 2,000 users.
  • SMS & Phone Call Relay Control: Authorised users can switch relays using SMS or phone calls. Relay ON time can also be adjusted.
  • Remote Alerts: Digital inputs can be configured to send an SMS or make a phone call when triggered, while the G5000+ can also send SMS alerts based on analogue setpoints.
  • Windows Desktop Management: Elsema's Desktop App provides Bluetooth configuration, user management, history and Excel user-list backup/import functionality.

Ideal Applications:

  • Remote Pump Automation: Control pumps remotely while using digital or analogue inputs to monitor operating conditions.
  • Tank Level Monitoring & Control: Connect a compatible 4–20mA level sensor and use analogue setpoints for monitoring and automated actions.
  • Irrigation & Agricultural Automation: Control pumps, valves and associated equipment across farms and remote properties.
  • Multi-Site Automation: Use M2M communication where an event at one G5000+ location needs to trigger equipment connected to another G5000+.
  • Industrial Equipment: Remotely operate machinery or auxiliary equipment while monitoring switches, alarms and compatible sensors.
  • Alarm & Security Systems: Monitor alarm outputs and sensors, send alerts and automatically operate connected relay outputs.
  • Building & Facility Management: Control and monitor lighting, HVAC and other suitable electrical equipment across commercial facilities.
  • Large User Installations: With capacity for up to 2,000 authorised users, the G5000+ is suitable where the G5000's 250-user limit isn't sufficient.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the G5000 4G GSM controller used for?

It is an SMS controlled input output controller with four relay outputs and sensor monitoring that suits lighting, pumps, irrigation, HVAC and general automation across industrial, commercial and agricultural sites.

How many outputs and inputs does the G5000 have?

It provides four relay outputs, plus two digital inputs and two analog inputs that read 4-20 milliamp sensors for real-time status via SMS.

What is the relay rating on the G5000 outputs?

Each relay is rated up to 10 amps at 240 volts AC, which covers common loads for lighting, pumps, and contractor control.

Which mobile networks are supported?

It works on Telstra, Optus and Vodafone with 4G and VoLTE compatibility, so it operates anywhere there is 4G coverage.

How many users can be configured?

G5000 supports up to 250 users, while G5000+ supports up to 2000 users for larger deployment and multi-site control.

What is the difference between G5000 and G5000+

G5000 focuses on SMS relay control and input alerts while G5000+ adds machine to machine automation and customisable alerts for advanced workflows.

How is the setup performed?

Setup is done with a desktop app that simplifies configuration and phone number management, while daily operation is handled by SMS commands.

What power supply is included?

A 12-Volt DC power pack is included, which simplifies installation and commissioning on site.

What are typical applications for G5000?

Common uses include sporting field lighting, sewer pump stations, tank level and irrigation control, HVAC control and remote monitoring of sensors.

What are the dimensions of the unit?

The enclosure measures about 170 x 110 x 50mm which fits standard control panels and field enclosures.
