The Genuine BFT Manual Release Key is designed for compatible BFT Deimos, Deimos Ultra and Ares sliding gate openers. 

This replacement key allows you to disengage your gate motor and operate the gate manually during a power outage, motor fault or maintenance.

Each key is matched to the 3-digit number stamped on your motor's manual release lock barrel.

Note:  Each motor is allocated a 3 digit number which can be found on the barrel of the motor.

BFT manual release keys are not universal. You must select the correct 3-digit barrel number to ensure the replacement key fits your motor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all BFT manual release keys the same?

No. Different BFT motors and release locks can use different keys. This replacement must match the 3-digit code on your existing lock barrel.  

I don't have a lock and barrel type manual release.

The lock and barrel type is only on some models.  You may require the older version triangular shaped manual release key.  

Can I use this key if I've lost my original?

Yes, provided your motor has a compatible release barrel and you can identify its 3-digit key number.

Will this key work during a power outage?

Yes. The key allows you to unlock the manual release mechanism so the gate can be operated manually, following your motor's instructions.

Does the key need programming?

No. This is a mechanical manual release key and does not require electronic programming.

What if my release lock is damaged?

This product supplies the replacement key only. A damaged lock barrel or manual release mechanism may require additional replacement parts.
