The Automatic Technology PTX2 (orange button) remote is the original transmitter introduced with ATA’s first-generation 64-bit TrioCode garage door and gate systems. Recognised by its distinctive round case and orange buttons, the PTX2v1 was widely used across ATA openers during the mid-2000s and became a popular choice for homeowners seeking strong security and reliable long-range performance.

This model operates on ATA’s early TrioCode rolling-code technology, generating a new encrypted code every time the button is pressed to prevent code grabbing or accidental interference. Featuring two programmable buttons, the PTX2 allows users to control multiple garage doors or gates from the one transmitter.

Despite its discontinuation, the PTX2 remains a highly recognised and supported model, with genuine compatible replacements still available for customers using early ATA TrioCode openers.  

Note: This TrioCode remote is not compatible with the newer 128-bit openers however the genuine replacement is compatible with both 64 and 128-bit series.
