How to Program a DACE TM4 Gate Remote – Step-by-Step Guide
If you've purchased a new or replacement DACE TM4 remote control, you'll need to program it into your gate motor before it can operate your gate.
Before You Begin
Most DACE gate control boards use a small jumper pin system to program additional remotes.
You'll need to locate the programming pins on your gate motor's control board. These are generally arranged in a group of four pins (2 × 2), although their location may vary depending on your control board model.
What is a jumper pin?
A jumper pin is a small removable plastic connector with a metal contact inside. It fits over two pins on the control board to activate a programming function.

Important: You will need access to your gate motor's control board. Take care around electrical components and avoid touching any exposed wiring or terminals. If you're unsure how to access the control board safely, contact a qualified gate technician.

To Program a NEW remote to the Control Board.
Step 1 – Locate the programming pins
Open your gate motor's control panel and locate the programming pins marked TX-L.
These are the pins used to add new remote controls to the receiver.
Step 2 – Press your new remote button
Press and HOLD the button on your new DACE TM4 remote that you would like to use to open and close your gate.
Keep holding this button throughout the next steps.
Step 3 – Activate programming mode
While continuing to hold the remote button, place the jumper connector over the two pins marked TX-L on the control board.
Leave the jumper in place for approximately 2 seconds.
Step 4 – Remove the jumper
Remove the jumper connector from the TX-L pins.
You can now release the button on your remote.
Step 5 – Test your remote
Move clear of the gate and test your newly programmed remote to check that it operates the gate correctly.
How to Clear the Remote Memory on a DACE Gate Motor
If you need to erase the stored remote controls from your gate receiver, follow the instructions below.
Warning: This procedure clears the receiver's remote memory. Previously programmed remotes will need to be programmed again.
Step 1 - Locate the programming pins
Locate the two pins marked TX-E on your gate control board.
Step 2: Activate Clear Memory Mode (Part 1)
Place the jumper over the TX-E pins and count 4 flashes of the yellow LED on the control board. Remove the Jumper after the 4th Flash
Step 3: Activate Clear Memory Mode (Part 2)
Return the jumper over the TX-E pins and count 2 flashes of the yellow LED on the control board. Remove the Jumper after the 2nd Flash.
Step 4: Activate Clear Memory Mode (Part 3)
Return the jumper over the TX-E pins and count 4 flashes of the yellow LED on the control board. Remove the Jumper after the 4th Flash.
Important: The time between removing and replacing the jumper must not exceed 2 seconds.
