How to Program an Elsema PentaFOB Remote
If you have a new Elsema PentaFOB remote, there are several ways it can be programmed to your existing Elsema Penta receiver.
Use the instructions below to program your PentaFOB directly through the receiver or, if you already have a working PentaFOB, use it to activate the receiver's programming mode and add your new remote.

Before You Start
- If programming directly through the receiver, you will need access to the gate motor or receiver.
- On most Elsema gate motors, the Penta receiver is built into the main control board and is located towards the top left of the board.
- If programming using an existing working PentaFOB, you must be at the gate and close to the receiver. The working remote activates programming mode on the receiver; it does not transfer the code directly to the new remote.
Programming to a Penta Receiver
On most Elsema gate motors, the Penta receiver is built into the motor's main control board. You do not need to look for a separate receiver box. The Penta receiver section is located towards the top left-hand corner of the control board.

Programming Using an Existing PentaFOB Remote
When using an existing working PentaFOB to add a new remote, the remotes are not programming directly to each other. The existing PentaFOB is used to activate the learn/programming mode on the Penta receiver. The new remote is then added to the receiver.
For this reason, you must be at the gate and within close range of the Penta receiver when following these programming instructions.
Not suitable for the Waterproof PentaFOBs - Keyring and Handheld Remotes.
Clearing the Receiver Memory
To remove a remote from the receiver, you will need to clear the receiver’s memory. Please note: this will delete all remotes currently programmed to the receiver.
