Security is important to Marantec.  Marantec remote technology works with encryption (similar to online banking) in addition to the rolling code algorithm.  This means that it transmits a different code to the opener every time the button is pressed.  Making it near impossible to be copied or decoded.  Making Marantec the most secure and comfortable door openers in the world.

WARNING! KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Never allow children to replace button batteries on any device. Swallowing or placing inside any part of the body may lead to severe or fatal injuries in as little as 2 hours or less due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the oesophagus.

If you suspect your child has swallowed a button battery or placed inside any part of the body immediately call the POISONS INFORMATION CENTRE on 13 11 26 for prompt advice. If your child is having any difficulty breathing, contact 000.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.

Programming to Machines produced prior to 2022

Each transmitter comes factory programmed with random codes on each button that must be changed in order to match the code of the “active” remote which you are already using.

• Connect the remote with active code to the new remote using the coding connector (Fig 49 below)
• Press and hold the selected channel button on the remote with the active code
• Press and hold the respective channel button on the new remote, The light in the remote initially starts blinking and then illuminates continuously after 1-2 sec.
• Code transfer is completed.

NOTE: For multi-button transmitters, be sure to carry out this procedure for all the buttons you desire to use. Programming connector can be removed and both remotes can now be used to operate the same opener.

If you do not have any working remotes the remote factory preset code can be changed as follows

• Insert the coding connector into remote.
• Short one of the outer pins of the coding connector with the middle pin
• Press and hold the respective channel button – The light will blink rapidly for 5 sec
• Release the button after the light illuminates continuously.
• Remove the programming connector, Code will change in approximately 2 seconds
• Release button after the light illuminates continuously.
• Code further remotes as above

Programming the SR1000 & SR1300 Installed in 2022 and beyond

• Hold the P button for 3 to 10 seconds,  Counter will flash
• Hold the P button for 3 to 10 seconds,  Counter will flash
• Press and release the P button, Icon will flash
• Press and release the P button, WIFI icon will flash
• Press the transmitter button, Solid WIFI icon displayed
• Release the transmitter button, WIFI icon will flash
• Press and release P button to save and end programming, Solid ON icon displayed
