Programming Instructions for PentaFOB® and PentaCODE® Remotes with the Elsema PCR43305RE Receiver

PentaFOB® Remote Programming

Method 1: Remote to Receiver

1. Ensure that all switches on the receiver’s 12-way dip switch are set to “OFF.”
2. Press and hold the program button on the receiver.
3. Press the button on the PentaFOB® remote for 2 seconds.
   • The receiver’s LED will flash and then turn green.
4. Release the button on the receiver and the remote.
5. Test the remote by pressing its button to ensure the receiver responds.

Method 2: Remote to Remote (Near Receiver)

1. Open the case of an already programmed remote.
2. Press and release the program button on the back of the board (receiver enters learning mode).
3. Press the button on the already programmed remote to activate the receiver.
4. Press the button on the new remote you want to program for 2 seconds.
5. Press the program button again on the already programmed remote to exit learning mode.
6. Test the newly programmed remote to confirm it works.

Deleting Receivers Memory for PentaFOB® Remotes

• Delete All Remotes: Short the Code Reset pins on the receiver for 10 seconds. This will erase all the remotes stored in the receiver’s memory.

PentaCODE® Remote Programming

Method 1: 12-Way Dip Switch Coding

1. Set a unique code on the receiver’s 12-way dip switch by flipping the switches “On” or “Off” (do not use the factory default setting).
2. Open the battery cover of the PentaCODE® remote.
3. Match the 12-way dip switch on the remote to the code set on the receiver’s dip switch.
4. Press button 1 on the remote. The receiver output should activate, confirmed by the receiver’s LED.

• Programming Buttons 2, 3, or 4 to Other Receivers: To use buttons 2, 3, or 4 with other receivers, adjust dip switches 11 and 12 on the respective receivers as follows:

• Ensure that dip switches 1 to 10 are the same on both the remotes and receivers.

Method 2: Encrypted Coding (All 12-Way Dip Switches “Off”)

1. Press and hold the program button on the receiver.
2. Press the button you want to program on the PentaCODE® remote for 2 seconds.
   • The receiver’s LED will flash green.
3. Release the button on the receiver and the remote.
4. The LED on the PentaCODE® remote will flash to confirm successful coding.

Method 3: Remote to Remote / Remote to Receiver Broadcasting

• Broadcasting the Remote’s Code:
  1. Ensure all 12 dip switches on the remote are “Off.”
  2. Press and hold button 1, then toggle dip switch 12 “On” and then back to “Off.”
  3. The LED will stay on for 10 seconds, indicating the remote is broadcasting its code.

• Broadcasting the Receiver’s Code:
  1. Ensure all 12 dip switches on the receiver are “Off.”
  2. Toggle dip switch 12 “On” and then back to “Off.”
  3. The green LED will remain on for 10 seconds, indicating the receiver is broadcasting its code.

• Programming the New Remote:
  1. While broadcasting, press button 1 on the new remote for 1 second.
  2. Release the button. The LED will flash twice to confirm successful programming.

Broadcasting will remain active for 10 seconds or stop if any dip switch is turned on.
