Elsema PentaCODE Remote

The Elsema PentaCODE Remote is a high-security, dual-coding transmitter designed for broad compatibility across Elsema Penta receivers and gate automation systems. Featuring both encrypted rolling-code mode and traditional DIP-switch fixed-code operation, it offers flexibility for any installation.  Available to purchase as the PCK43302 (2 button) and PCK43304 (4 button) variation.

IMPORTANT: The Elsema PentaCODE remote is NOT a direct replacement for the discontinued Elsema KEY or FMT remote. If your original receiver is still an FMR receiver, a PentaCODE remote will not work on its own. You must replace the receiver with a compatible PentaCODE receiver at the same time.

Using 433MHz FHSS frequency-hopping technology, the PentaCODE remote ensures strong, interference-resistant performance with a transmission range of up to 200m line of sight. Built tough with a durable nylon casing and integrated keyring mount, it’s made to withstand Australian conditions, providing a reliable remote solution for residential, commercial and industrial access control.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can the Elsema PentaCODE remote replace my Elsema FMT or KEY remote?

No. The Elsema PentaCODE remote is not a direct replacement for discontinued Elsema FMT or KEY remotes. To use a PentaCODE remote, a compatible Elsema Penta Receiver must first be installed. Once installed, the PentaCODE remote can often be configured to use the same 12-way DIP switch settings as your previous system, making future remote replacements much easier.  For more information read the blog post HERE.

Why do I need a new receiver to use the Elsema PentaCODE remote?

If you are currently using one of the older Elsema FMT/KEY remotes they do not directly communicate with the PentaCODE remotes.  Although they both have the exact same dipswitch settings within the remote, they work on different frequencies which means that the signal cannot be transmitted from remote to the receiver to activate your device.

Installing a compatible Elsema Penta Receiver upgrades your system to modern encrypted technology while allowing future remotes to be added more easily.  Existing FMT or KEY remotes can often continue to operate alongside the new receiver during a staged upgrade.

What is the difference between PentaCODE and PentaFOB remotes?

Both remotes use Elsema's secure Frequency Hopping technology, but the PentaCODE series also includes a 12-way DIP switch option. This makes it ideal for apartment complexes, commercial buildings and industrial sites that want the flexibility of traditional coding alongside modern encrypted security.  For more information read the blog post HERE

What battery does the Elsema PentaCODE remote use?

The Elsema PentaCODE remote uses an alkaline 23A Battery, which is readily available and simple to replace.
