Remote Programming

Here are the programming instructions for the Merlin M842RS Remote with the Merlin M430R Roller Door Opener:

Programming a Remote Button to Operate the Opener

1. Press the red Learn button on the opener for 1-2 seconds until the courtesy lamp flashes slowly.
2. Press the desired button on the NEW remote, wait for 1 second, and press the same button again.
   • The courtesy lamp will stop flashing once the remote button is successfully programmed.

Programming One Button for Opener Control and Another for Courtesy Lamp Control

1. Press the Learn button on the opener for 1-2 seconds until the courtesy lamp flashes slowly.
2. Press the desired button on the remote for opener control, wait 1 second, and then press another button for courtesy lamp control.
   • The courtesy lamp will stop flashing once both functions are programmed.

Deleting All Remotes from the Opener’s Memory

1. Press and hold the Learn button for 11 seconds until the courtesy lamp stops flashing.
   • After 6 seconds, the lamp will flash quickly as a warning. If you release the button during this period, the memory will not be wiped.

These instructions will allow you to enable RTL, enter learn mode, program remote buttons, and delete all remote codes.
