BOSS HT44 Remote

The BOSS HT44 Remote was a unique four-button transmitter originally supplied with BOSS garage door and gate systems. It combined both private entry and common entry functionality — an uncommon configuration at the time.

On the original HT44:

• The top two buttons were used for Private Entry, programmed directly to individual openers via the receiver’s program button.

• The bottom two buttons were assigned to a Common Entry, coded using an 8-switch DIP setting on the receiver and the remote itself.

Since BOSS rebranded under Steel-Line, the HT44 has been discontinued, and the common entry function is no longer compatible with any current devices or receivers.

However, the private entry systems remain supported and can still be operated using modern replacements:

• Steel-Line HT4 2211L Remote – for Overhead / Sectional Doors

• Code Ezy Trinity Remote – compatible with all garage door systems that previously used the private entry channels of the HT44

If your system used only the common entry function, an upgrade to a new receiver and compatible remote will be required.
